Singer (catalogue raisonne) 167 III

Provenance: ex coll. Werner Eberhard Müller (Lugt 5075)

Proof of the third (final) state of the rejected plate for Sheet 2 (Singer 158) of the portfolio Eine Liebe, Opus X

Magnificent impression of this scarce print with a delicate drypoint monogram at the bottom right.  According to Singer, there were only "15 impressions in all."

Minor signs of wear, small pencil annotations in the bottom margin at the bottom, slightly browned in the mat cutout, otherwise flawless.  Wide, probably full margin.
