appears to be an impression of the fourth (and final?) state

An excellent, delicate painterly impression of the haunting self-portrait with a wide margin.

condition: minimally dusty, inconspicuous light edge, pinch folds from the print on the right edge, the lower corners slightly creased, remains of mounting on the reverse, otherwise in very good condition.

"The painter and graphic artist Georg Jahn began his training in 1883 at the porcelain factory in Meißen, which sent him to the Dresden Academy as a scholarship holder in 1888. He completed his studies at the Weimar art school. After working as an illustrator and portraitist in Berlin, Leipzig and Munich for a long time, Jahn settled in Loschwitz in 1897, where Max Pietschmann introduced him to etching."  B
