Discussion:


"As is so often the case with Fidus' early leaves, this drawing places religious motifs in a life-reformation context, which is characterized above all by the hand-made, simple clothing of the figures."  B


"In 1927, the St. Georg-Bund [St. George Association], founded by Fidus, published the directory Fidusbilder in which 140 works by the artist were reproduced. This sheet is listed there under the title 'Morning Prayer'."  B
