A rare signed impression of this iconic Jugendstil poster for the magazine Pan.

"Pan was a short-lived, but highly influential magazine devoted to art, literature, politics and social comment, published in Berlin between 1895-1900 under the editorship of Wilhelm von Bode. The literary contents of the magazine were marked by a sharp satirical edge well-matched by its avant-garde graphic styling. Pan promoted the newly fashionable Art Nouveau style, as well as the work of Symbolist painters such as Arnold Böcklin. Many artists, including the prominent Berlin illustrator Joseph Sattler, contributed to Pan's striking series of colour lithographed covers." Victoria & Albert Museum
