From 1904, the Swiss painter Adolf Frey-Moock studied at the Academy of Fine Art in Munich [Akademie der Bildenden Künste München]. In 1909, he became the studio assistant of Franz von Stuck, who had a profound influence upon Frey-Moock's work; Arnold Böcklin was also a significant influence.
