On an autographed postcard of "Luzifer-Antlitz" from 1944, Fidus commented on this drawing:


Lucifer "is the eternal exciter of self-awareness, initially erring in the details ... but finally recognizing the Logos in the event and maturing into Christos." 


[Luzifer "ist der ewige Erreger des Ichbewußtseins, im Einzelnen anfangs irrend ... schließlich aber den Logos im Geschehen erkennend und zum Christos reifend."]
