Provenance: Friedrich Quiring (born 1886), Eberswalde (collector's stamp verso in brown, Lugt 1041C)

A rare proof impression before the plate was cleaned. 

A proof impression was sold at the auction of the Lanna Collection at Lepke, Berlin, in May, 1911; the auction catalogue stated that about 15 proof impressions had been printed.
