Ilse Seeger (1904-1994), married name Ilse Pohl, was the daughter of artist Herrmann Seeger and Marie Cramer von Clausbruch (sister of Rudolf Cramer von Clausbruch).  Ilse and her older sister Hildegard (1899-1983) were favored artistic subjects of their father. 


Hermann Seeger studied at the Academy of Fine Arts [Hochschule für Bildende Künste] in Berlin under Paul Thurmann and Karl Gussow, completing his studies in 1885.
