The Daulton Collection

A rare proof (indeed, the first impression) of the first state of this etching; an untouched, brilliant print with deeply embossed plate edge and wonderfully silky shimmering plate tone and the full margins.

Provenance: the Heinrich Stinnes collection, with the collector's stamp lower left (Lugt 4437) and the typical handwritten inscriptions by Stinnes on the right lower edge.
