Condition: some retouching in lower left edge; otherwise a fine tonal print in excellent condition.

Discussion:

Franz Schlensky was the court photographer in Helgoland.  A pictorialist who was known for his dramatic views of the island Helgoland surrounded by a rough sea, Schensky was a master of capturing the atmosphere of the North Sea.
