The painter and commercial artist Fritz Behnke was a student of Carl Otto Czeschka at the School of Applied Arts in Hamburg from 1907 to 1911 and also worked there as a teacher and professor from 1913 to 1931. In addition, Behnke did commercial art work for Reemtsma AG, among other firms.
