The Daulton Collection
Apprenticed as a stained-glass artist, this is an early work by Engelhard dating from the period when he was a student at State School of Applied Arts in Nuremberg (Staatsschule für Angewandte Kunst, Nürnberg). Later, he was known primarily for his floral still-life paintings in a Neue Sachlichkeit/Magischer Realismus style.
